Turbocharged SR20 Swapped Rocket
For over 15 years this 510 has been laying down rubber and making its mark on the import scene. Initially starting out as a simple SR20DET swap with a turbo setup, this 510 has evolved to a mean racing machine over the years.
Currently the 510 is equipped with a fully built SR20DET, single turbo, and is tubbed with a 4 Link setup instead of the factory independent rear suspension that it used to have. In its current state, the configuration put this 510 over 600 WHP and into the low 10s in the quarter mile.
We have begun the next phase of the 510 project by swapping the 5 speed trans for a turbo 400 with a trans brake and changing the head configuration to the SR20 VE head. Since we are changing the head configuration we are also going to sleeve the block in preparation for a short stroke big bore setup.
We are hoping to achieve close to 1000WHP with this next phase.
